I took lunch break today to visit a studio in the west village. The location was perfect, very near to the 8th Avenue subway line - but it was a basement apartment with very little space. My bed would never fit and there was barely a kitchen, with a portable fridge. The apartment was too small for actual living. Then, I was directed to view another apartment at 102 Greenwich Avenue. It was a fifth floor walk-up, but it was perfect. Nice space with a nice kitchen and lots of sunlight. I called the Super when I returned to the office, only to find that the apartment had already been rented. Good space moves quickly in this City...but it was nice to see there is good space available.
